All students from year one to secondary school get weekly homework. The students receive it during their last lesson of the week (mostly on Friday) and they have to bring it back on the same day the following week.
Reading is also homework. Children have to bring their library book along with their normal homework to keep track on their progress. They should be reading Dutch at least 15 minutes a day to keep up with their peers in the Netherlands.
Parental support and encouragement is essential for students to succeed with their homework. Please keep track of what your child is doing and should be doing.
